Please let me know which elevation/facade you prefer!

This is a design in preliminary stages for a large French style home in Tampa, Florida.

The Owner started with the idea that it should be faced with brick and cast stone for the columns, arches, moldings, etc.

After the elevation was completed, it was noted that a red brick two-story house was next door and the Owner did not think brick was ideal.  He asked to see it with a stucco finish minus all brick.

What do you think?
Thank you!

John Henry - Although I like the looks of Stucco I would choose brick over stucco because of common problems with cracks and moisture. Incorrect flashing or gutters installed by someone inexperienced (most often years after the new building is built by other contractors) causes major problems for the homeowner and it's a costly repair. In my area, it's hard to find someone local. The ones with expertise have to travel the distance and may or may not want to travel to inspect or repair. If the crack or entry point where moisture is coming in isn't addressed, other problems can result in more extensive repairs. Of course, whoever owns a home like this probably doesn't have money issues but most that I know that do have money they don't to part with it, unless of course, it's something they really want, like a new boat or car.
