When relocating to a different state or city, taking into consideration what kind of Hospitals are available in the area is very important. In general, people move about from city to city or relocate from other states or countries. In times of an emergency, seconds count. Nobody really plans to go to a Hospital as they plan for a vacation, but when medical help is needed, people want what's best for their loved ones and themselves.
For the third year in a row, UT Southwestern Hospital ranked number 1 in Dallas-Fort Worth and number 2 in the State of Texas. For a list of cities included in Dallas-Fort Worth you can get more information from Wikipedia (click the link for information and statistics). A major benefactor to UT Southwestern Medical Centers for more than three decades is credited to the late and legendary Texan H. Ross Perot Sr, who passed away on July 9, 2019. Perot's loyalty, commitment to his country, and family, including saving the lives of employees from his own company EDS makes him an icon and a hero who managed to do the unthinkable for his God and Country. You can read all about H. Ross Perot Sr's TEAM: The Eagles, "a group of volunteers from the executive ranks of a great American corporation, hand-picked and trained by retired Green Beret officer."
"THEIR MISSION: To penetrate a heavily guarded prison fortress in Iran and free the Americans imprisoned there." Against all odds, Perot's mission was a success. H. Ross Perot, Sr spent his entire life giving back and doing great and successful things for many people, including serving in the Military with the U.S. when he began his services to his country when he enrolled in the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland and becoming Class President in his Junior and Senior year.
UT Southwestern benefited from his generosity and leadership. Together, Ross Perot and his wife Margot, and the Perot Foundation contributed more than $90 million to UT Southwestern including $50 million to the Innovations in Medicine campaign. As a result, excellent opportunities for education continues for future physician-scientists, research, and care.
Also reported in the U.S. News & World Report earlier this year, UT Southwestern received recognition as one of the top medical schools in the country for a second consecutive year from Nature Index as one of the top 10 health care institutions in the world for publishing high-quality scientific research.
As an outpatient at UT Southwestern in Dallas this morning, I can attest to the quality of patient care, compassion, cleanliness, knowledge, care, and extraordinary services by Staff and Medical Doctors, Technicians, and Nurses. Best of all, for me personally, the experience was stress-free.
