Here’s a Foodie Alert for Carlsbad residents who enjoy dining out!
The always popular farm-to-table Shop with the Chef dinner series will have the 2nd dinner on Wednesday, September 25th.
As you may already know about this series, up to 18 guests will join Chef Brad from The Compass in Carlsbad Village to shop at the State Street Farmers Market followed by a 5-course meal.
The Shop with the Chef runs from 6 to 8 pm, starting with Chef Brad getting inspired and shopping for local ingredients at our popular Carlsbad Farmers Market on State Street in the Village (check out this fruit I saw one day at the Farmers' Market!).
Who knows? You might also pick up some good shopping tips.
Attendees will then join Chef Brad at Compass Restaurant, and be seated at a private table as he prepares a special multi-course meal with Farmers Market Offerings.
Tickets for the Shop with a Chef dinner and a special drink are $70; additional drinks are not included nor is a tip! It’s a great deal, and sure to be fun and educational watching a talented chef at work, from shopping to finish, plus enjoying some delicious food.

The Compass Restaurant is on the 2nd floor in the Village Faire shopping area in the heart of the Village at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, just west of the railroad tracks and adjacent to the State Street Farmers Market.
