Can't believe that I wrote my last blog on Activerain in March. What is my excuse? Mostly, things kept happening that I felt I should not write about YET. You know, you put it off. Then events overtake you and it's really too late to write about it. Or situations change and, because of client confidentiality, you want to wait to write about it. So you put it off. You know what I'm talking about.
Also, this year many things became clear to me as to how I want to run my business. I've been flirting with hiring agents and, you know, getting backup. Well, all that was great when I was just thinking about it but when push came to shove, I just couldn't do it. I realize that I work best alone. I just don't want anyone looking to me to train them, give them leads, prop them up mentally and emotionally, or just plain having them hang around. Who knows, that state of mind may change again if the right person comes knocking on my door. So far they haven't.
My overall marketing efforts changed too and this was not planned. This year has pretty much been about exposure in my community through personal contacts and that's about all I want to say at this point. It's been so successful that later this month there's an article coming out where I will be one of four real estate women of Carmel-by-the-Sea being featured. Can't wait to see it. And I will post it here when it comes out on September 18th.
What was my BIGGEST transaction so far this year? A beautiful home in Pebble Beach that closed in August and which was purchased by my client for $4.55M. See exterior photo above of 1046 Marcheta Lane, Pebble Beach, CA 93953
What was the most fun thing I did? Well, we had "car week" in August here in Monterey County and I went pretty much to all the functions and ending with the Concours d' Elegance at Pebble Beach. But my favorite photos were at the McCalls Motorworks Revival events, the first one at the Jet Center, and the second one with the Tesla at the Quail.
