Monday Musings: Awake and Alive in the Present Moment!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

As many of you who follow our blog know, we are big proponents of mindfulness.  It is a practice we embrace daily.  And we keep practicing as it easy to be distracted in a thousand and one directions. When that happens, one of us reminds the other to FOCUS! As Thich Nhat Hanh points in the quote below, we are good at preparing to live, but not good at living.

“We can smile, breathe, walk, and eat our meals in a way that allows us to be in touch with the abundance of happiness that is available.  We are very good at preparing to live, but not very good at living.

We know how to sacrifice ten years for a diploma, and we are willing to work very hard to get a job, a car, a house, and so on.  But we have difficulty remembering that we are alive in the present moment, the only moment there is for us to be alive.

Every breath we take, every step we make, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity.  We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.”

Thich Nhat Hanh

Wishing you a wonderful Monday awake and alive in the present moment!

CAN YOU STATE HOW YOU ARE DIFFERENT AND BETTER THAN YOUR COMPETITION IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS?

ABOUT:  Luxury Real Estate is a high stakes game. Commissions are substantial! We help luxury real estate professionals get to the listing table more often and win listings more frequently.  If you want to be the market leader, the personal or company brand that your target market thinks of first and refers most often, you need an Elevator Statement to accelerate the process.  We can get you there!

Your Elevator Statement is a succinct and persuasive summary of your extraordinary promise of value, your unique selling proposition.  In a time-starved world the attention span of your target market is shrinking.  To instantly convey what sets you apart from the crowd you need to be able to answer EACH ONE of these 3 questions in less than 30 seconds.: 1) What Do You Do?; 2)  How Do You Do It?, and;  3) How Are You Different?.  Can you state how you are different and better than your competition in less than 30 seconds?

Watch the video above to see and hear how we do it.

Retired and loving life

Wonderful post on mindfulness. Some days I have to do something to distract myself from being in the moment when my pain level is high because at that point I don't enjoy being in the moment. Something I told Debb the other day is that I appreciate those times when I feel better even more because of the pain. It is a up and down of mindfulness and distraction from the painful times. Have a wonderful day.

Sharon Lee One of my teachers once said, that the more you appreciate the times when your body feels good, the less pain you will have in your body, so keep appreciating those moments.  Don't let the pain be a distraction.  A

Happy Monday Ron and Alexandra- being in the moment is something I'm always working on. My late mother-in-law was brilliant, PhiBetaKappa, Master bridge player and a PhD in Psychology but I don't think she ever appreciated her moments.
