~What The Last Three Months Have Been Like~

Inventory is leveling off because sales have increased.  I was active during the slow down but it seems the market is heating up.  I've been reading in several different mediums that the housing down has been reached and the low point is now behind us.

Housing Predictor http://www.housingpredictor.com/hot.html certainly would agree that the Salem market is hot.

But that is not why I'm writing today.   I work two markets and have an extensive network: San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay) and Salem, Oregon.  My motorcycle has been in the Bay Area for a couple of years.  This year, I decided to bring it to Salem, Oregon and enjoy the summer with the wind in my hair.

This year is also the first year that the Spring rain season decided to last longer than usual.  My bike sat in the garage in Oregon.  I'm traveling  to California ~ not having my bike in Walnut Creek~  I'm sure you are getting the picture.  Finally, no rain and sun a couple of weeks ago.  I felt rusty not having ridden for a bit but after I got on the road, it took me about 10 minutes to settle down.  I met up with some friends and we took off to Corvallis for a burrito run.  During lunch, one of my riding buddies looked at me and said,  "This is Oregon, you can't lane split here"  Ooops!!!

We continued to Brownsville after lunch, through Stayton and back into Salem.  The day ended and I had a marvelous time.

Now, if it will only quit raining so I can go ride again.

Selling Florida Homes with Passion!

Down here in southeast Florida, it's still stagnant.  Most of the listings are short sellers or corporate owned (foreclosure) homes.  People with deep equity evidently have decided to sit this one out, probably choosing to sell "when the market improves".  I think that's a big mistake.  In this market, I see prices continuing to decline for the next 12-18 months--there is simply too much inventory.
