2019 Carlsbad Oktoberfest is Saturday October 5
Can you believe Fall officially arrives September 23rd? That’s less than 2 weeks from now.
That means, among other things, it’s time for North San Diego County’s longest running Oktoberfest in Carlsbad. And a big crowd, perhaps 10,000, is expected.
The 37th Annual Rotary Carlsbad Oktoberfest and Family Fall Festival will be held, once again, in beautiful Holiday Park, from 12 noon until 9 pm.
Holiday Park (see photo) is located close to Carlsbad Village on Pio Pico - head south from Carlsbad Village Drive (just east of the 5 freeway) and you’ll find it between Pine and Chestnut.

Be aware that parking in the residential area surrounding Holiday Park is pretty limited. With that in mind consider parking at the SW corner of The Shoppes at Carlsbad (at El Camino Real and the 78) and taking shuttle buses. Shuttles will run at 20 minute intervals, from 11:30 am until 9:30 pm. You can also walk or ride your bike.
The Carlsbad Oktoberfest and Family Fall Festival 2019 is sponsored traditionally by the Rotary Clubs of Carlsbad (there are 2 clubs in Carlsbad – The Carlsbad Rotary and the Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary).
There are other sponsors as well, including premiere sponsors TBD That Boy Good and Markstein Beverage Company, among others.
2019 Oktoberfest funds will go to 2 major beneficiaries, the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation, and Solutions for Change, a local charity dedicated to working toward solving family homelessness.
Of course you can expect the usual Oktoberfest fun and entertainment to keep everyone entertained from start to finish - German music and other bands, polka dancing, puppet shows, arts and crafts, games and rides, costume and yodeling contests, and of course the classic German Oktoberfest dinner as well as other food options.
