Fanwood is a small residential borough located in the western part of Union County, New Jersey. The district is in between the boroughs of Plainfield and Scotch Plains. The borough is a combination of suburban neighborhoods that feature some of the most affordable single-family homes in the region. Neighborhood Amenities

There are several outdoor attractions within the Fanwood borough. Forest Road Park is a beautiful neighborhood park that features a couple of ball fields, a children's playground, and walking trails that go around the park perimeter. La Grande Park is a more extensive public park complete with tennis courts, a basketball court, playground, ballfields, and more. Fanwood Nature Center is located in the southeastern part of town which features a center of wooded preserve with various kid-friendly attractions. South Avenue which goes through the middle of Fanwood is lined with a variety of commercial establishments including restaurants, cafes, stores, and shopping malls.
