Palos Verdes homes owners have plenty of beach/sea events taking place this September right here on the Peninsula. Listed below are just a few of this months activities:
Walk Cabrillo will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Just pack a snack and join a walk guided by CMA’s Education staff. You will start at the Aquarium courtyard, and visit the native garden, salt marsh, beaches and tide pools. This event is free and open to all ages.
Salt Marsh Open House will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Join CMA Educators to learn about the Salinas de San Pedro wetlands habitat at Cabrillo Beach by using binoculars and microscopes to observe live animals. Visitors can view the birds of the marsh, learn about native plants, and observe the changes in the tides. This even is free and open to all ages.
Tide pool Walks will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m and on Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CMA’s Educators will be conducting tours of the Point Fermin tide pools. You will attend an informative slide show in the John M. Olguin Auditorium, then walk along the naturalist-led ramble on the rocks to see animals in their natural habitat. Outdoor clothing and sneakers advised. Young children must be accompanied by adults. There is no fee for the tide pool walk.
