Wondering If

Christopher Columbus

Could Be Sued

Wondering If Christopher Columbus Could Be Sued  I mean no disrespect to anyone who may have experienced an outcome gone wrong.

Malfeasance.  Malpractice. Situations and scenarios of many sorts.  Things gone amiss. Things occur.  Stuff happens.  Fingers may be pointed.    Many different reasons.  And perhaps absolutely no reason at all.

Justice is requested.  Perhaps demanded some might say.  Hold on.  Wait just a second.  Is there more to the story?  Maybe.  Maybe not.  Is knowing and understanding risk part of the scenario?   Pause.

Let's consider Christopher Columbus or any explorer of his day as they set off for new adventures, new discoveries...   Could he(or they) be sued?  Maybe Spain?  Or a higher power?  Promises made versus reality.  I imagine these trips weren't promoted as a three hour pleasure cruise.    I wonder...

Now you've done it...a really thought provoking subject.  At this point, I'm going to go with Debe Maxwell, CRS 's clever dodge on the topic!  Love it, Debe.

Hi Michael Jacobs

In pondering... I would put myself in the position of a non-explorer. Just the thought of possibly going over the edge of a flat earth would be mind-boggling.

Even if you suspected the earth was round, those explorers were courageous to take on the unknown.  Not sure any person back then would think of any explorer as a fraud.

Good morning Michael Jacobs - that is really very interesting.  Of course, we are applying 21st century standard.  There was a different type of justice in 1492 and it was swift.

Raymond E. Camp - thank you for stopping by and for your comment.  I hope your weekend and the week ahead bring astonishing results.

Wayne Martin - my lack of a coffee habit may impair me but I am okay with that.

Abby Stiller - there's likely plenty of blame to spread along with some kindness too.

Barbara Todaro - stuff certainly happens.   There's much evidence.

Brian England - I imagine karma is on the mind of a lot of people.  Today and in the past.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS - I think rough justice can be seen throughout history.

Sharon Lee - you know how to align yourself with good people.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - it's good when we find an answer that works well for us.

Nina Hollander and Lottie Kendall - pondering doesn't necessarily follow a calendar.  What more can I say?

Gene Mundt, IL/WI Mortgage Originator - FHA/VA/Conv/Jumbo/Portfolio/Refi - the lemon and lemonade analogy work so well.

Kathy Streib - ah, yes, the parades...

Debe Maxwell, CRS - I was wondering when that subject would be raised.

James Dray = another day, more pondering...

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD - dodge ball can be fun.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - the thought of "going over the edge" was/is a very real concern.  Different then than now but a valid one nonetheless.

Roy Kelley - historical can lead to hysterical at times.

Grant Schneider - yes, days, years and centuries pass quickly at times and it's best to keep things in perspective.

Michael, laughing at Jeff's comment!   Our society is so litigious now, we hear about lawsuits every day.    Sad!

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty - that mistake/wrong turn/debacle eventually turned out quite successfully, don't you think?  A few seasons long, semingly endless reruns and some laughs too.  Hmm..still wondering how they were able to invent so much but couldn't find a solution off that island.

Joan Cox - indeed!

Michael Jacobs - While it is important to ask "why" questions, I would prefer not to comment. Since everything is based on cause and effect, all I can say is historical causation is complex and I don't practice law.

Having worked in a law office....

All I did was the billing, but I found the legal process very interesting.

Having been on jury duty was even a bigger eye opener. Much like home staging...appearance does matter. A LOT.

Not sure what any of my rambling has to do with the subject, but it's all I got.

You really know how to get our brain cells working. LOL
