Got a quality photo you want to share? Do you have the perfect caption written out? But is the only thing missing a quality hashtag? Here are 4 places to find good hashtags for your real estate posts!
1. Your Competitors
What are your competitors using? Particularly, what are your competitors that have good IG followings using? Use those if they are relevant to your photos.
2. Your Prospects
What are your prospects tagging in their photos? Read through their posts (also - follow, like, and comment on them) to find their most commonly used hashtags. The best hashtags are the tags unique to your local area. For example, #Calilove is great for California, but not the best for somebody who specializes in San Diego real estate. #MySDPhoto is a more widely used hashtag.
3. Autofill in the Search Bar
Typing any word into the search bar will give you suggestions, and how many posts are in each feed. Choose hashtags that have plenty of recent posts. Some hashtags might have 300+ posts, but have not been used since 2017.
4. Your Notifications Tab
Based on photos you've liked on Instagram, the app will recommend hashtags for you to follow. They will only recommend hashtags that other users are currently using, or that have built a following.
5. The Explore Tab
Also based on photos you've liked, Instagram will recommend you specific posts. Read through the posts, because many of them will have hashtags in their photo description. The posts with high engagement numbers are good sources to find new hashtags.
