We are delighted to have another lovely summer day. And as usual the Santa Barbara Farmers Market is buzzing with activity and abundance of fruit and vegetables.  These finger shaped grapes (pictured above) are sweet and crunchy.

These torpedo shaped tomatoes are wonderful to use when you want to make a quick light tomato sauce.

Zucchini in all its variations is arranged in a colorful order by the wonderful family that runs Garden of Eden farms.

Peppers are abundant both sweet and hot.  This arrangement by Peacock Farms was eye- catching. The ones on your far right are scotch bonnets...they will literally blow your bonnet of your head...they are one of the hottest on the Scovile scale.

Wishing you all an abundance of Saturday Smiles!

I truly enjoy my virtual visits with you to the Santa Barbara farmers' market each Saturday. I haven't seen those elongated grapes -- will have to keep my eyes out for them.

Good morning,  Alexandra and Ron- - -I have noticed more finger-shaped grapes this season than I previously recall. Surprises of all kinds seem to be a part of Nature's "grand plan".

Heading out that way. There was a realtor who bought 1000 bags with her names on it. She handed them out at door way.

The Trade War kept a lot CA vegetables and fruits at home. Cherries, grapes; garlic are staying home selling at a reasonable prices. I think CA wines will be consumed more also.

Nina Hollander those tomatoes are low in acid, and they barely need to be cooked.  Because of their pulp they make a thicker sauce with a touch of butter, garlic and white wine.  We have them over zucchini noodles quite often in lieu of pasta.  A

Lottie Kendall they are very tasty.  In Italy they bring washed grapes to the table in a bowl of iced water, with scissor (special ones, of course) to cut off a strand of two.  A

Good Evening! I don't believe I've ever seen the ginger grapes but, I don't think there is a grape that I wouldn't like - definitely something I would try!

Your market still looks brilliantly colored and I know you are enjoying that the summer is extending there too.
