Getting older is something that we all have to look forward to but I just want to say that THE STRUGGLE IS REAL.
I'm 46 years old (47 in December 2019) and let's just say my body is not cooperating with me. I've always been a tiny framed person that has never really had to worry about her weight.
Well, that all changed when I hit my 40s. Now it is required that I work out and change the way that I eat. And eating healthy is a struggle in itself because I am a very picky eater.
To add insult to injury the universe decided it didn't like me so now I'm fighting with my hormones as well. Uncontrollable weight gain, joint pain, and mood swings... oh my! :-)
Although I have been truly frustrated lately, I do know that nothing that is happening to me is special and I am just following in the footsteps of all of the women before me. I've decided to stop whining about it and use my experience to help others.
That's the great part about being a content creator. You have the tools available to you that allow you to share with others in ways that will help them. My latest content on my blog and my YouTube channel is designed to do just that.
My most recent blog post is all about Self Care. It gives you a self care checklist that you can use to ensure that you are taking care of yourself. Self care is not as easy as it sounds when you are busy or you suffer from things like depression or anxiety.
Come to think of it, it's noon and I've been working since 7 am and I haven't showered... smh
My most recent YouTube video will give you my 10 favorite ways to De-stress. I've been so focused on my weight gain that it has caused me to stress out about it. And oddly enough stress causes weight gain.
