"When you get to a place where you understand that love and belonging,
your worthiness, is a birthright and not something you have to earn,
anything is possible." ---Brene' Brown
Is it any coincidence that we who love to blog on ActiveRain and build business relationships are even luckier when we get to meet each other and share time, dreams, and spend quality time together? The woman in the photograph is Kat Palmiotti, a woman who dared to dream, and now proudly lives in Kalispell where she showed me her new construction!
Kat has every reason to be proud. Her dreams are coming true. Step one was to find the location where she wanted to move. Next, Kat and her husband had to pick out a place where they wanted to live and hire a builder. Shortly thereafter, they put their home and land they owned on the market for sale. Afterward, they were free to begin their journey to start the next chapter in their lives. Their new home site is surrounded by tall, towering pine trees with a mountain view. It's gorgeous!!!
Kat and I met on ActiveRain and found out sheerly by coincidence that we were both spending time these past several years in Kalispell. It is there where our hearts melted at different times at Glacier National Park. On the first day, we spent time having a meal at my favorite place called the Montana Club Restaurant. You can't imagine how warm and personable Kat is in real life. What you see and read on ActiveRain is true! After meeting her in person, I got to experience her authentic self, filled with love for her husband and their new home Montana.
"There aren't any coincidences. I think things really happen for a reason."
You can't imagine how surprised I was to see a group of ladies I met at the DFW Airport from Alabama walk into the Montana Club Restaurant to sit just a few tables away from where Kat and I sat. Of course, we went over to talk to them. We had a great time. Life is full of connections! We found out that the ladies I met at the Dallas Airport came to visit their long-time friend from grade school who just happens to live in Kalispell who purely by coincidence is a really good friend of Kat's new neighbor! They had a lot to talk about while I continued to chat with the women from Alabama.
We spent the weekend at the Authors of the Flatheads' Writer's Conference. This was my fourth or fifth time at the conference. In life, coincidences happen all the time. As I was walking into the Community College, I met a new lady who just moved to Kalispell from California. Of course, I asked her if she's renting or did she buy a house. The lady told me she's renting and will be looking for a Real Estate Agent and a house soon. I told her all about Kat. Naturally, once I got inside and found Kat, I told her about the woman and Kat went over to introduce herself. Kat now has a lead and a new friend!
Kat dared to dream. She's the Kat from Kalispell who is someone I am proud to know and call a friend. We went over to Glacier National Park and had a really nice time. Plus, she is an excellent cook! It is very rare for me to have a home-cooked meal and something I really enjoy. She is really good in the kitchen too and a really good friend. I am so blessed we made our connection on ActiveRain!
"The universe is always speaking to us... sending us little messages,
causing coincidences and serendipities, reminding us to stop,
to look around, to believe in something else, something more."
Yesterday afternoon, while waiting at the Glacier International I met a man named Bow. We made a great connection. He introduced me to his partner and shared his family photos who live in Montana. I quickly recognized one of the photos in his pictures, because it is the same spot where I took another photo of Kat! The only difference between my photo and his is the weather. He had clear blue sky on Sunday at Hidden Trails in Logan Pass and we had a cloudy and rainy day on Friday!
Bow lived in TX before and his partner lived close to where I lived before moving to TX and they both now live by Lake Michigan in Downtown, Chicago where Wayne Martin lives and I previously lived and was raised where I got my humble beginnings in life! Life is full of surprises. What a coincidence...
