Montgomery IL SF Home sales Drop 23.9% in Aug. 2019

As one of the few Fox River towns with homes in the lower $200K range, Montgomery is a great place to buy your first home. Home prices are holding steady despite a decrease in home sales. 

 

Home sales in Montgomery, IL dropped 23.9% compared to 2018!  With only 35 closed sales in August, 2019 vs. 46 in August, 2018 the slow down has definitely hit.

 

The days on market increased a whopping 57.6% to 52 days from 2018's 33 days while the median home price increased from 2018's $205K to 2019's $215K a 4.9% increase which is great for sellers.

Total:  90

 

New - 6

Reactiveated - 1

Price Change - 6 

 

Year to Date home sales saw a 7.9% drop from 2018's  314 homes to the current 290 sold homes.  Average sales price has held steady - currently at $220,938 which is an increase of 3.4% from 2018's $213,590!  Median sales price is at $224,950 an increase of 6.3% from 2018's $211,600.  Great news for sellers in Montgomery, IL!
