This is the September, 2019 single family home market report for homes sold on Maui Hawaii year to date through August, 2019.
In August 98 single family homes sold on Maui with a median price of $837,500 and an average price of $1,414,165. At the end of August there were 443 single family homes for sale on Maui which is approximately 4.7 months of inventory. Kihei had the highest number of sold homes with 20 in August while Wailea/Makena had the highest median sale price for sold homes with a median sale price of $9,037,736 in August(Five homes sold in Wailea/Makena in August 2019 for a total of $41,510,468). *The average and median home price on Maui was higher in August due to many million dollar plus homes selling.
Through August 722 single family homes have sold on Maui with a median price of $755,000 and an average price of $1,052,215. The median sale price has increased 7.9% the first eight months of 2019 compared to the first eight months of 2018. Wailuku had the highest number of sold homes through August 2019 with 137 total sales while Kapalua had the highest median sale price for sold homes with a median sale price of $2,450,000 through August 2019. The average Days On Market for sold homes through August, 2019 is 134 days. Homes are selling for an average of 96.3% of list price.
