The Legacy Food Hall in Plano has it All!

"Food is everything we are. It's an extension of nationalist feeling,

ethnic feeling, your personal history, your province, your region,

your tribe, your grandma. It's inseparable from the get-go."

---Anthony Bourdain

"Alcohol may be man's worst enemy, but the Bible

says love your enemy." --- Frank Sinatra

"And what, Socrates, is the food of the soul? Surely, I said,

knowledge is the food of the soul" ---Plato

"The bottom line - customers want delicious food served quickly in an

interactive format, and they are increasingly unwilling to compromise."

---Steve Ells

Here are just samples of food you can find to eat at the Legacy Hall Food Court in Plano off of the Dallas Toll Way. There are 24 artisanal stalls owned by local Chefs. This is a large Food Court where you don't have to sit in a restaurant. It's an open-concept dining hall with entertainment, sports, camaraderie, and fun. For example, Press Waffles was seen on Shark Tank and Mark Cuban gave the entrepreneurs a shot at making a different type of Waffles and their dreams did come true.

There's something for everyone! Nobody has to go home hungry. You can sit upstairs, downstairs or off the balconies and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or, if you just want to people watch, you can do that too but I'll warn you, the smells make you good and hungry! When it's happy hour, everyone is happy!

"A chef is a mixture maybe of artistry and craft. You have to learn

the craft really to get there." ---Wolfgang Puck

Hi Patricia... I've always loved the food hall concept and if there's one in a city I'm in, I always check it out and usually sample some goodies, as well.

I love the "lobsta and chowda house" - wonder if the owners are from Boston MA or Jersey. Haha.

Hello Patricia - it seems as the "food court" that seemed so popular years ago is continuing to evolve as "food halls" of many varieties have entered the "dining" scene.  I appreciate the quotes you chose.  Nicely curated.

So much to choose from at the Legacy Food Hall.  I like that lobster and chowder is spelled how Barbara Todaro and Sharon Tara pronounce it.

CA COASTAL ESTATES Lauren Selinsky Perez CRS - Hi, Lauren! You wouldn't be hungry if you came to Plano in DFW! There's something for everyone and it looks like you'd have no trouble choosing something to eat. I wish you good health and lots of success!

Barbara Todaro - Anthony Bourdain was one of a kind and he's sorely missed. The Sea Breeze sign for Lobsta & Chowda House caught my eye right away. My favorite place to take my kids when we lived in Maine was Two Lights Lobsta Shack in Cape Elizabeth. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the only place to eat was on the big rocks on the rocky coastline. People stood in lines to get up to the window and it was well worth the wait! Now the rocks are restricted and people have to eat outdoors at tables. But the food is still GREAT!

Nina Hollander - The times I went to the Food Hall in Plano there was no kids, just adults, and no shopping as inside a Mall. Chef food is so much better and healthier Mall food too! I found it to be very relaxing. There is plenty of Beverly Hill Style and Luxury shopping down the block for anyone who wants to shop. But the Food Hall stands alone and I like it that way. Plus, there is lots of indoor parking without paying for parking which is even nicer!

Wayne Martin - You could practically spend the day there having breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And the best part is, nobody would notice or care! I noticed a lot of people on the second floor setting up office space with their laptops and business meetings going on using FREE SPACE. I think you would really enjoy it!

Kat Palmiotti - The Sea Breeze & Lobsta & Chowda House got my attention immediately! I was wondering if the owners were from Maine? That was my favorite sign too. I guess if you come to Dallas and we went there for a meal, you might choose this place and I'd go across the hall to the Pizza Place where they have brick ovens. Then, we'd choose a table anywhere we want in that big 3 story building.  I miss hanging out with you!

Michael Jacobs - Thanks for letting me know you liked the quotes I chose and the way I curated this blog post too. Also, I appreciate how original and thoughtful you are when you comment.

Brian England - I also love how the people from New England talk. Now that's what I call an accent and I love it!!! This place is so big, you can start out early in the morning having breakfast, walk around the Food Hall and be ready for lunch! Nobody has to be a couch (or chair) potato there!

Candice A. Donofrio - Awe! Thanks for the FEATURE in the "Bartender Make it a Double Group!" I loved that quote by old Blue Eyes too! Another one of my favorites by Frank was "Take a deep breath, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again!" That's Life!!!

Hi Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP,

This is my husband's kind of vacation.  He scopes out all the eateries and works around that. He would agree with Anthony Bourdain.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - Anthony Bourdain left his footprints on earth and his spirit. He changed the way people think about food and gave them all a new way of thinking about food.

You and your husband are truly amazing! If by good fortune we meet, I know we'll enjoy each others company. If it never comes to fruition, I'm thankful I got a glimpse into your world as a result of Activerain. In the meantime, write on!!! I enjoy your company as an active blogger.

Kris Collis, Associate Broker - I was happy to do so! It's funny how when I discover something so exciting and new that I want to share it with others, all I have to do is take a few photos, and then blog all about it. ActiveRain gives me a voice to do that and it's wonderful when people like yourself respond.

May you never go hungry and always have good food available to you.

Hi Patricia:

Great shout out for the Legacy Food Hall in Plano. I love the quotes!

Food halls seem to be growing in popularity here, too. The long-awaited Windmill Food Hall in Carlsbad just opened recently but I haven't visited yet. TIme to go check out the food and share a post!

Jeff
