What is a Call to Action?

A call to action is a phrase that instructs a person to take an action. Here are some examples:

  • Call now
  • Click here
  • Visit my website

How do you get a person to perform that action?

Give them a reason to! "Call now" is not compelling enough to pick up the phone. "Call now for the chance to win a free car can convince some to dial your number. Here are some good examples:

  • Call now to learn more about getting pre-approved
  • Click here to download your free home sellers guidebook
  • Visit my website to search for homes in the Dallas area

Where should I put a Call to Action?

EVERYWHERE! On your business card, on emails, on blogs, on any piece of marketing that you'd like to convert readers into leads.
