NAR.... I hope they see this...more important I Hope they listen
Nar has stopped being our voice a long time ago....
they got political and only cared about the glory of their own egos.

Debra Leisek,
I am emailing to all on this link. https://www.nar.realtor/about-nar/nar-leadership/nar-senior-vice-presidents?fbclid=IwAR0OlAr860Fo5LwlXkZSiDeVFVOyQKONIsEncYvvKZimdrrjkFMiN
It’s about time for a little “Fire and brimstone”. Unfortunately, I believe most Realtors® eyes will glaze over and they will return to grazing on an ever-shrinking pasture.
Lone before Zillow arrived on the scene I was certified to teach CE to Realtors® about using 1031 Exchange strategies to build personal wealth and client wealth. Few managing Brokers encouraged my efforts.
I became certified to teach how and IRA can buy real estate. Again, the majority of managing Brokers did not endorse my efforts.
Think about this, there are 45-million IRAs in American with six trillion dollars invested.
Invested in what? This should be a Realtor’s immediate question.
95% of the six trillion is invested in Wall Street.
An embarrassing 4% is invested in real estate the very product a Realtor® knows and sells.
Apparently far more a Realtors® prefer to pay someone else, a Financial Advisor, a commission to invest their hard-earned money in something they know little about, stocks and Mutual Funds.
NAR should have been pushing education on the 1031 Exchange decades ago to its constituency and the Public.
And NAR should be pushing education of the “How An IRA Can Buy Real Estate” to its constituency and the Public.
Don’t hold your breath.

NAR has become a political action group worried about electing the same group of rulers and rubbing shoulder with said group. If they really wanted to support us, they would have major medical insurance that we could buy at a good rate instead of depending on our spouses' insurance, they would have protected the data we give them instead of selling it to the highest bidder. We have lost the protection and gained politics.

This is good to see. I have been equally upset with the AIA for not representing architects in the face of recessions, etc. Glad you posted this. Great points made.

Lyn Sims ~ I've been on the sidelines watching for a while now (still not liking the direction and the SO-CALLED leadership of Realtors). I don't know "who" this gentleman is in the video but..... HE NAILED IT (IMO). And I do think he has the pulse of most all reasonable Realtors... Sadly, and for some unknown reason, there are a few unreasonable Realtors still supporting ZG and the likes?
One day the dust will settle and I have a feeling the unreasonable few will see they were on the wrong side of history

As a Lender, I don't believe I should weigh in on this matter. I do however applaud you, Lyn Sims ... for sharing it and kickstarting a conversation and hopefully, possible action on realtors' behalf. That improves the status of the industry via information and knowledge ...

To have access to Supra the association requires us to join NAR. It tells use not to show our listing with listing agent banner phone #......
They have the right to say that they want. Lots of hot air no substance.
Diana Dahlberg - that's fantastic!
Please post in a regular comment so more people will notice it.

BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO! That video expresses exactly how I feel. I have felt for awhile that NAR has forgotten who it is they were supposed to represent. How many Realtors wonder if NAR has simply began to eat its young?

That is an awesome video and spot-on, thank you very much for sharing this! I have thought for a long time that when I see the advertisements for Realtors, they don't seem to promote us very well at all.

NAR does not represent Realtors. They represent dollars they can put in their pockets.

How many members would NAR have if it wasn't mandatory? I resent being strong armed to pay dues to this bureaucracy.

Thank you Linda, I have also put this link in our FB AR Peeps Group.
So why is it so few Realtors® "Tell it like it is".
Apathy, the same reason only 50% of Americans vote.
Until the vast majority (75%+) of Realtors® start pounding the drums and chanting, "We are mad as hell and we aren't going to take it anymore" it will remain the same old game-NAR wins by default because Realtors® didn't even show up for the game.
Wow . . . just wow! I hadn't seen this before. Thanks for sharing. When do you think NAR will start listening? Ever?
