National One-Hit Wonder Day: September 25th
National One-Hit Wonder Day recognizes those musical artists who had just one Top 40 single hit. Have you got a favorite one-hit wonder song? It's amazing how often I'll hear a song on the radio that brings back memories and find out that it was the one and only hit a particular artist had.
Below is a list of 10 of one-hit wonders, which are some of my personal favorites. I'll bet you'll be surprised that these recording artists didn't have a follow up hit, especially as these songs were such big hits in their day and very much part of the popular music consciousness. I know when I hear these songs they bring back all sorts of memories and I'm still amazed that so many years later I can still remember all the words to each of these songs.
