Cowtown Welcomes Texas REALTORS® Association
Last week, Realtors from all over the state of Texas descended upon my neighbor city, Fort Worth. This great city is more commonly known as Cowtown. Fort Worth welcomed us all with a friendly smile and in grand style.
I bet you are wondering where the term Cowtown came from? Way back in the day of the Chisholm Trail of herding the cattle from the south up to the north, Fort Worth was a critical last stop before heading into Indian territory. Check out the link for some really cool and interesting history.
The Cowtown theme was prevalent throughout the state conference including the Night at the Stockyards which was a great event. Our state association, Texas REALTORS® always does an outstanding job putting together a top-notch conference. We enjoyed a keynote speaker, Mr. Walter Bond, who provided an excellent and vibrant message to open our convention.
The courses provided to us during the conference were relevant, uplifting, educational, and fun. I always enjoy attending these courses as well as knocking out a lot of my required CE credits. Additionally, the statewide networking with my fellow agents is always of great value. We are fortunate in Texas to have an outstanding state association.
If you are a Texas real estate professional and have not attended one of our state conferences, plan to attend next year. The 2020 Texas REALTORS® Conference will be held in San Antonio on August 31-September 3, 2020. Hope to see my fellow Texas real estate friends there!
