Aloha Lise Howe, when you go to the grocery store in Honolulu just about everything has been imported. There is very limited local produce available and to me that is anathema. Why buy a Banana from Ecuador when bananas can be found growing all over Hawaii. It's the pathetic reality of greed and profit over everything. Thanks for the visit!

Ray and I are big on the farm-to-table experience, Kimo. One of our favorite restaurants changes the menu, based on what was available that day, locally. So, it's never the same menu and we've never had a meal we didn't love there. Oh and they also serve local craft brews too!

I hope you get to go to this - it sounds perfectly lovely!

Aloha Debe Maxwell, CRS, we have very little local produce in our Honolulu Grocery stores which is aggravating as it must be shipped in otherwise. Our many farm to table experiences in Honolulu really offer the breadth of local produce that is not always available where we shop, we also have farm to table delivery service of whatever is being harvested that week, since we are growing 24/7 /365 we have quite a diverse selection from the exotic to the staples of rice and potato. Mahalo for all of your comments!
