Last year I sold a piece of land to a young couple I had been working with for quite some time. They had come to Idaho for the second time in 3 years looking for that special place. Their parents thought they were crazy to move from Colorado to Idaho to build a home. We looked at everything and one of the last ones on the list was a piece that had been on and off the market a few times. When we got there, they werent overly impressed. We walked the land which was heavily treed, trying to keep the kids from tripping on branches. There was a small kinda level spot by the road and then went way down a hill. It was a mess but I saw a huge potential for it to be so much more and with some work to be exactly what they were looking for. They looked at me a bit sideways when I told them "This is the one" I explained the benefits, what types of things they could expect to do, some names to talk to for wells, septics, contractors etc.
A day later they had decided that they wanted to put in an offer and it was accepted. They went back home and we talked a few times. THEN the call came. "Hey we have been doing some work on the land and want you to come see it". I had a break in my schedule a couple days later when someone cancelled due to the rain. As I was getting ready to go see their handy work I called to let them know and he said great I'll meet you out there. I travelled the road and as I aproached the parcel my breath was taken away. Someone had been doing alot of work and the lake view was magnificent. I started second guessing myself as I drove down the driveway. I knew it would be a lake view but this far exceeded what I thought it could be. Then the truck came down the driveway and all I could see was the biggest smile ever and my friend beaming with pride. I had the right place. When he got out all I could say is Oh my God what a view!!!!
Seth and Erin I am so very happy for you and glad to see all that hard work has paid off so wonderfully. I cant wait to see that house going in.
