October is here - and it brings us so many opportunities to celebrate. First to come to mind is the baseball play offs ending in the World Series. Who can forget Mr. October, Reggie Jackson! Then of course, there is Halloween at the end of the month, with ghosts and little witches all collecting candy and looking just darling. October is great for long Sunday drives into the country too. The leaves are changing and apples are just begging to be turned into pies and sauce for later in the year. But that is not all that October brings! Oktoberfest season is here — which means it's time to try a new kind of beer - or maybe just celebrate with your favorite pint!
Oktoberfest is a gift from Munich, Germany and an opportunity to celebrate great beer, good people, and Bavarian culture. Happily, there are plenty of Oktoberfest celebrations right here in Montgomery County so no one needs to head off to Munich.
