Carlsbad Halloween Pumpkin Plunge 2019

Fall is here, stores are jammed with Halloween stuff, pumpkin patches are open, and it’s just a little over 2 weeks to the Pumpkin Plunge in Carlsbad.
The annual floating pumpkin patch is held at the Alga Norte Community Center in South Carlsbad (La Costa), at 6565 Alicante Road (at the corner of Poinsettia), on Saturday October 19th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Carlsbad kids get to lasso their favorite pumpkin from the floating pumpkin patch, using a hula hoop, to take home for carving or decorating and the Halloween festivities.
Bring your bathing suits!!
The fun in and out of the pool will include several Halloween-themed activities including collecting bones, diving for treasures, and catching mutant fish. There will also be a Bounce House and plenty of photo ops!
The Pumpkin Plunge ends with a special movie, Spooky the Square Pumpkin (rated G), on the giant outdoor screen, starting at dusk.
The Dive In Grill will be open, as it always is for Aquatic Center events, to purchase food and beverages throughout the evening. Don’t forget that food and beverages cannot be brought in from outside.
The cost is $10 per person; children aged 3 and under are free but must be identified at check-out. To save time, pick up your wristbands before the event, available at the Alga Norte Aquatics Center, during normal business hours, until October 18. You can register now for the Carlsbad Pumpkin Plunge; the event is limited to 600 attendees, and is expected to sell out, so don’t wait too long!
