Where To Adopt A Shelter Dog In Charlotte, NC
October is National Adopt A Shelter Dog Month. October is also the first full month of fall... why not fall for a shelter dog during National Adopt A Shelter Dog Month?
Adopt A Shelter Dog... Save A Life!
Did you know that up to 8 million pets end up in shelters each year and that half of these will never be adopted? That may explain why over 50% of dogs in shelters end up euthanized. And if you're looking for a specific breed, it's worth noting that some 25% of the animals in shelters are actually pure-breds. $1 billion annually is spent picking up, sheltering, and euthanizing pets in this country! Homeless pets outnumber homeless people by 5 to 1. Can you think of any reason not to adopt if you're looking for your fur-ever companion?
As the Humane Society of Charlotte put it... "come meet our adorable canines and you may just have a new walking buddy, couch potato partner or forever friend." Here's your link to meet some of the Humane Society of Charlotte's dogs available for adoption.
