Real Estate Agent Facebook Mistakes You Can Learn From

There are plenty of agents on social media, and it's hard to stand out with so much competition. However, not every agent on Facebook is using the platform correctly. There are a few basic actions that need to be taken by agents that are often ignored. If you do these 3 things, you will certainly find success.

1. Not Tracking Social Media Statistics

How do you REALLY know if your Facebook posts are doing well if you aren't tracking the stats? How do your posts this month compare to last month's posts? By analyzing your Facebook stats, you can magnify which posts performed the best so your future posts can copy that formula.

2. Not Responding to All Comments and Messages

Have you ever waiting over 24 hours to contact a real estate lead that reached out to you on your website? Of course not! Facebook fans should be treated similarly. It should be noted that Facebook fans are likely at the beginning stages (or stages before the beginning stages). Despite them not being remotely ready to buy or sell a home, they will keep your response time in mind when they are ready to talk to a real estate agent.

3. Always Selling with Everybody Post

Have you ever had a friend try to rope you into a pyramid scheme? That's how it feels when every single time you post something on Facebook, you are asking your fans to sign up with you. Ideally you should be using Facebook to build relationships and nurture prospects. It's okay to have a lead conversion post every once in a while, but mix that in with posts meant to start conversations and engage the community you work in.

All Great points of not overwhelming your friends.  You want them to stay there so be respectful and they will take notice.  And answer all comments or messages.

No matter what your profession, I don't understand how people can't see how annoying constant "buy my product" becomes. It is definitely a cause for unfollowing.
