5 Easy Ways to Become the Neighborhood Expert

Being the neighborhood expert is akin to being a local celebrity. You want to be neighborhood-famous. When people think real estate, you want them to think about you FIRST.

Here are 5 Ways to Become the Neighborhood Expert:

1. Share Neighborhood Information on Facebook

Simple. Events coming up? News that affects the neighborhood like traffic closures, new restaurants popping up, old stores closing down? Share that! Be the source of information for the neighborhood in general, not just real estate information.

2. Maintain Relationships with Builders

Having insider knowledge of new construction can prove to be very beneficial. Taking the time to know your local builders is a great way to learn about upcoming projects. This is a great way to stay ahead of the news.

3. Always Host Open Houses

Always have an open house for your listings. The more open houses you host, the more neighbors and possible leads you will meet.

4. Check Out Every Home as it Goes Up for Sale

You can set up an alert to learn when a new listing becomes available in your neighborhood. Share these listings on your social media channels so the neighbors in your network know what homes are listing for, and possibly how long they are staying on the market.

5. Put More Face Time in Than Other Agents

The best way to be the neighborhood expert is just to be out there in the neighborhood. Attend community events. Eat lunch at local mom and pop shops, while chatting up the residents. Don't just be that sleek headshot on social media, but be that real person that people can go to for their real estate needs.

All good points,  I try to make it a point to visit 4 builders every month and make should they know me.
