A call from an old friend...

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Infinity

I got a call today from an old friend. A very old friend…

He let me know he was going through a challenging time. We hadn’t talked in forever, but I was still aware of some of the things he was dealing with, but certainly not everything…

The reason he was calling, however, wasn’t to tell me his problems. He was calling to thank me. To let me know that I was making a difference. Using his word, that I was an “inspiration” to him, and that if I was affecting him so much, he was sure that I was inspiring others…

Hearing him use those words gave me the chills. Just typing them now does as well…

Honestly, I really don’t know what I am doing. Others have called me inspiring before too. Makes me chuckle. They have said that I am always so positive, or that I have a great attitude...

Positive? Tell that to my boss, who has a special “crying” chair in her office, which I visit fairly regularly. Or tell that to my therapist, who I started seeing seven weeks ago, and have seen every week since. On my first visit with her, I literally cried like a baby for 45 straight minutes. I can’t tell you how good that felt to do…

Are my posts inspiring? I hope so. What I try to do is give little snippets of my life. Revealing in a hopefully subtle way that I am a real person, with real emotions, facing real challenges. I also try and write about how I am dealing with those challenges, overcoming them, and moving forward in life.

I write because it feels good to share my experiences.

I want to thank my old friend for calling today. It made me feel so good. I also want to thank everyone else who has reached out to me with kind words of love and support…

I am fortunate to have a great support system around me, and feel blessed by it every single day.

I will continue to write my story. Share my experiences. Hopefully others do find value in following along, maybe just knowing they aren’t alone provides them some strength…

Thanks for reading...
