Hi  Everyone!   Tuesday here in Orlando, thinking of you as I cross over the
many states and locations we all live in.  Normally this is my procedure before
I begin each post -- I pause and wonder what you are all doing and wishing
each of you a wonderful day - business/office meetings, client appointments, contracts, open houses, showings, closings, mailings, websites, calls, emails, etc..
Yes, do have a great week!                                                                     ~Jane
                                                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it."
                                                                                          ~Henry David Thoreau
"Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm."
                                                                                               ~Winston Churchill
"Would you like me to give you a formula for success?  It's quite simple
really:  Double your rate of failure.  You are thinking of failure as the enemy
of success. But it isn't at all.  You can be discouraged by failure or you can
learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes.  Make all you can.  Because
remember that's where you will find success."                  ~Thomas J. Watson
"Do one thing every day that scares you."                            ~Anonymous
"People who succeed have momentum.  The more they succeed, the more
they want to succeed, and the more they find a way to succeed.  Similarly,
when someone is failing, the tendency is to get on a downward spiral that
can even become a self-fulfilling prophecy."                           ~Tony Robbins
"Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."
                                                                                                  ~Robert Kiyosaki
"If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time."
                                                                                                           ~Steve Jobs
"The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today."
                                                                                          ~Franklin D. Roosevelt
"I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have."
                                                                                                    ~Thomas Jefferson
"There is a powerful driving force inside every human being that, once
unleashed, can make any vision, dream, or desire a reality."
Jane,
Wishing you an abundance of success, and I like this quote among the many good ones,
"Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it."
Hi Michael Jacobs, thank you for reading the pre-quotes little message.  I sincerely mean to let you all know that I care and value you in my life.  I am
so fortunate - lucky- to have found you in life.  Michael, I especially pay attention to your posts and your comments.  Thank you, my friend...hope you do not mind that I consider us friends without checking in with you first.
Have a great day, Michael!  BTW, I read all the comments without fail- - on my iPhone as they come in;  however, I am not successful at responding... Guess you could say I am at failure level on responses...Please forgive me, I am really working at that and to turning that failure into a success .
Dear Ron and Alexandra Seigel,   believe me I never miss thinking of you in my meditative thought before I write a post.  Even though I am here in the East in Orlando, Florida, I treasure my moments when I am having a cup of coffee or walking with you way over there on the West Coast in California.  I was telling Michael Jacobs how much I value his comments to my posts, I also want to let you know how I appreciate and value your comments.  Thank you, Ron and 'A'...
Alexandra, do you have knowledge of a good Italian language online course? I know you both love Italy and perhaps are already fluent in speaking and writing?
Jane,
I originally took the Pimsleur courses when I first learned Italian, and loved it. The first time I opened my mouth in Italy, they asked Ron if I was Italian. I liked it because it is an active course, you are not passive in just listening. Keep in mind that French was my first language, and that eased it for me.  Be sure if you buy it, it is published by Simon & Schuster, there are  lots of fakers out there.
Even though it has been years since I took the course on cassettes, I still do well in Italy.  I can read the paper a bit, but I have not attempted to write.  One of these days. I may do a refesher course.
In the meantime, looks our biz is expanding to France, so I will have the opportunity to really speak like a native again.
I am very grateful
Ron and Alexandra Seigel, for your kindness and helpfulness and the Pimsleur information.  I did check this out a few days ago and really liked the way it was presented:  flash cards, speed test, etc. . .  It seemed to be a great way to learn and also I noticed it was published by Simon & Schuster... and online... Seems we are on the same page, 'A'.  Projectile:  5 months, they say....
My Godparents were from Belgium and spoke a language that they always said was,  'Low French.'  Perhaps you understand this.  I did take one semester of French in college and the professor said I spoke well...   Have a feeling it was all the years we lived and spent at my Godparents...Seemed the back part of the tongue had to sort of curl upward to get the correct sound :)
and sounds coming from the back of the tongue/throat area...whereas, my English makes a somewhat purer and cleaner sound, coming from middle to tip of my tongue.  I do love the French sound...
And of course,  (I may be wrong here):
  'Comment allez vous (French Class)  became a little different in low French/Belgian... (You probably are laughing at me/with me, 'A;  as I try to write this...Haha.....
How Are You?    (sounded like):       Kah-mah'-sah  va?
"Good Bye."    (sounded like):             Bo - jew'!
And with the Beligian community I grew up in, Champion, WI,  you needed to say 'bojew' to the other person a number of times ---WHILE WALKING BACKWARDS (kidding...in jest...but,
no, 'A'.  a true story.....
          Allay que lah votch, lo vo, Shep....!
          Go/Hurry and get the cows, Shep!  (command to Shep, dog)
My Godparents owned a farm and Shep saved us lots of steps
through the years when we had to walk into a huge field and bring the cows back to the barns for milking time.
