I Am Grateful For
I Am Grateful For OOpsortunity As a native Angeleno, I am well aware of bumpy roads. I also know that the road of life is rarely straight and narrow. At least I haven't found that to be true. I am certain I am not alone acknowledging that this road can have many detours. Twists and turns of all kinds.
Although, it may seem I have revealed much (definitely more than my somewhat reserved personality might typically share - mind you)there are many moments that I do not share.
Mistakes occur. Things go askew. And we know stuff happens. We can look at opportunity in a number of different ways. That which has a favorable outcome and those times when opportunity seems to make itself known when we least expect it.
We may understand that opportunity can be found throughout life when we remain "open" to the concept. "OOpsortunity" is a word I coined(perhaps there was someone before me, it's always a possibility) that I used recently in a comment on ActiveRain for a post by Kathy Streib. Although the comment was made over a month ago, my thought of oopsortunity turned into an opportunity for the current ActiveRain challenge. The gist of the word, as I see it, is a mistake that turns into an opportunity. I am grateful that opportunity is part of my thinking hence so is an "oopsortunity".
An oopsortunity can be a real opportunity when you keep that mindset and thought process in place. Does this occur all the time for me? Absolutely NOT. But it can happen enough for me to continue thinking... Ah, it's not a mistake....it's not a glitch...ir is not another problem....yes, it's an "oopsortunity". I mean if Sally Sally K. & David L. Hanson can conjure up creative real estate terms such as curbalicious and thinventory with great regularity, why can't I create new words too? "Oopsortunity". Pardon me....
