Huelo, Waipio, Honokala - Haiku Maui from the air
It's a big wide shot of this beautiful coastal scenery along Maui's north shore. You won't see this from the Road to Hana, but with a drone flying camera it's possible. This is the coastline on the top of the eastern flank between Paia and Keanae, showing the typical terrain of seaside cliffs punctuated with mountain streams in steep gorges. The land drops away quickly offshore as well, making for deep ocean currents just a short way out.
We love it here because it's just a more natural way to live, surrounded by all the greenery, ocean breezes, soft rainfall, with ocean views and forever blue skies. The climate, the food, the friendly people, I could go on and on.
