For Sale by Ohhhh...Help Me Please!
A friend was moving out of state and decided to sell her property as a FSBO. Very quickly she became confused when an interested party came forward, trying to figure out how to respond, what price to accept, the paperwork, etc. She called, explaining the dilemma, hiring me immediately to help.
The experienced buyer was unrepresented and during the signing of documents began asking me multiple questions. I politely declined to answer due to implied agency. My client drove the transaction's terms and conditions and received more money than expected at closing!
FSBO's often think they are saving money when clearly they may not, especially when they have no access to real estate market values or when a more seasoned buyer takes advantage of lack of sales knowledge. Glad to protect the seller's interests by guiding her to a successful end result.
