The last witness.
Lest we forget.
Good afternoon Alan. This is really really sad. I am bummed and disappointed.
It makes me sad for the future.
It is frightening how little our younger generation knows about this. I wonder how many of them after the interview were interested enough to check google or look the information up to find out. It is also our job to make these facts known among our own families.
I'm sure none of them followed up.
It's imperative that the younger generations know about such atrocities so they don't get repeated. It's up to all of us to do our part.
I've seen lots of these "man on the street" interviews... about politics, etc... but this one was particuarly depressing.
Hi Alan- The video was a little hard to hear but sadly I got the gist of it and it is not just sad but it is alarming. If no one remembers how can we possibly prevent something like that from happening again.
Those who don't learn from the past, are destined to repeat it.
This is awful . . . kids that weren't born, their parents didn't teach them or didn't care, the schools indoctrinate but do not educate and here we are!
When I worked in the schools (80s) WE PLAYED VIDEOS to the kids showing the mass graves and all the horrors of the Holocaust. My master teacher, big black guy (loved him) used to say listen kids, this happened and we don't hate people for being different!
IMAGINE that now. HA!
... and add to that all the holocaust-deniers.... yeesh!
It really is, Alan and what is so darned scary (in addition to that) is that there are so many people with 'causes' that want to erase history. They forget that we LEARN from history and it bears noting that we also learn not to REPEAT it.
Yep... those who don't learn from history are destined to repeat it.
