Millers Tavern is a Historic District in western Essex County, Virginia, extending partly into eastern King and Queen County. In total, it is approximately 3,900 acres. It has not changed much in the past 100 years, and still has predominantly agricultural use. Most of the farm properties in the district are modest, with some structures dating from the late 18th century to the mid-20th century.

Almost There Family Diner is a locally owned restaurant, since 2011. They serve breakfast , lunch and dinner daily. It is a family style restaurant with family style comfort foods. Popular dishes include BBQ, Steaks, Philly Cheese Steaks, Redneck sausage, Rock Fish, Home cooked seasoned fries, Tuna & Chicken Salad, Open face shaved Rib eye. The redneck pasta is a family secret recipe. Daily specials are also available.
Watts & Sons Supermarket is a family owned and operated business serving the community since 1948. They are a full service grocery store with fresh meats, fresh produce (locally grown when available), frozen food, dairy, and a full line of grocery items. Call in advance for meats cut to order. Just ask for Pat or Kristy. Watts & Sons also sells gasoline at competitive prices.
St Paul’s Episcopal Church is a beautiful country church whose history dates back to the original Farnham Parish established in 1656. Since its original construction, several additions have been made to the church. In 1972, a parish hall was built adjacent to the church and is attached by an enclosed breezeway to the vesting room, rector’s office, administrative assistant’s office, nursery, and two other multi-purpose/ Sunday school rooms. The church maintains 2 cemeteries adjacent to the building on the rear and side of the property. The remaining 10 acres are open and beautiful.
