What Would You Do Over? Mulligan Day is October 17

What if someone gave you a do-over in your life?  Better yet...what about 3 or even more?

We’ve all thought about it.  Maybe you would have pushed harder for a high-just a thoughtend listing or started developing your niche earlier in your Real Estate career.

The thing about mulligans or do-overs is that it makes us think about our choices.  Why is it that we made that choice?

Or, maybe we didn’t. By not choosing, it was made for us.

There are some things we’ve done or choices we’ve made that cannot be taken back.  Only the Higher Being could do that.

What we can do is learn and move on. Wishing for what might have been can be counterproductive.

When I was younger, I had 3 things I would have done differently if given the chance.

However, the older I get the more I realize that sometimes the things we think we’d do over are the very things that made us who we are. We experienced things that we may not otherwise have. We met people that we wouldn’t give up for anything.

And you?  What would you do differently?

Hi Kathy... I can think of one big thing I'd have done differently in my life, which I'd rather not discuss in public, but that being said, at the end of the day I believe my life turned out the way it was meant to do.

I am not sure what is wrong with me but I never look back since you can not change history. However, I will keep my mulligans for the future.

I don't think I would change anything, but I might change how I prepared or reacted to situations that arose and that most likely would have changed the outcome and the direction of my life. But, I believe I am where I am meant to be right now.

Good morning Kathy. As I get older some of my wrong decisions lead to wonderful opportunities. So, yes a mulligan would be nice but not necessary. Enjoy your day!

Good morning Kathy. I think this is interesting. I have thought about this too and ultimately tend to agree. I wouldn't change anything.

Hi Kathy Streib

I bought in on the ground floor of Starbuck's. I would never have sold that stock as early as I did!

I am not sure I would change anything. If you did, many other aspects of your life would change as well, some not for the better. I say concentrate on tomorrow...not yesterday.

I've pondered a lot about times when I would like a do-over, but I've come to realize that those critical moments are the one that has molded me into the person I am today.

Good morning! Not sure there is anything I would want to do over again. I will have to think a little more about it. But I do like the name "Mulligan Day!"

Geez, the list sure would be long, haha.  It would take me days to compile, so I think I will just forget about all of my sins of the past and rejoice in how wonderful the future is!!!

This seems to be a question that so many coaches ask - what would you do over, given the chance? I know there are times that we wish we could take something back, times that we say, "Oh, if I could do that all over again!" but, honestly, I can't think of a time that didn't wind up having some sort of silver lining.

The icing on the cake is always that we learn something from it. I believe that accepting our decisions in life also helps us be more adaptable to change as well as being more attentive and careful with our decisions.

Good morning Kathy Streib - exactly right regarding thinking if we had done something different.  We would not be who we are and in some cases might not have the spouse or family we have now.

A very interesting thought, and I would not change a thing, neither one of us would.  It brought us to where we are today...no regrets. A

Well  sure I've made mistakes but so what, I either had more fun than ever or it was really just stupid. Everyone does, right.  I think of everything as water under the bridge - let it move out and onward.

I wouldn't change much, even though there have been many missteps along life's journey.  It's all about the lessons.  You can't grow without 'em.
