Halloween Dominates October, Be Prepared for the Incoming Day

Halloween night is almost upon us.  The next weekend will be the recognized weekend for the festivities.  New parent’s concerns will always include safety for their child on the big night.  There should also be some planning for them as well when it comes to the route they take.  This has many elements to it, chief among them is safety and proximity to your own house.  The secondary element should be the optimal candy route for your little ones.  Neighborhoods that are closely packed in in Highlands Ranch serve this purpose very well.  The Firelight neighborhood can have you cover 50 houses in little time at all.  Working in Highlands Ranch property management we are accurately aware of the layouts of the many communities we serve.

Make sure costumes can layer up for this cold Halloween.  Sometimes it is warm and sometimes it is cold.  When it is the latter you will want to take precautions to make sure your kiddo can make it through the night without being uncomfortable or more importantly miserable.  The brighter their colors the better.  This will help you pick them out of crowds.  Be sure to start early so you will catch the very tail end of the sunset.  This ensures that you can probably wrap up before the biting cold comes in late in the night.  Be sure if you see any house that has a candy bowl available with signs that say take one please are used as an opportunity to teach your kids a lesson.  There are videos where parents will simply shovel the whole bowl into their bag, effectively stealing free candy, ruining the night for everyone that follows, and wasting the efforts of the people who put the bowl out in the first place.  Make sure your kids understand that the honor system is in effect and should be applied to any situation like this.  Always act ethically and you won’t have anything to worry about.

Blue Olive Properties wishes everyone in our communities a Happy Halloween.  If you are in need of a spooky scare, or Highlands Ranch property management, please call our office today.

I like your approach to giving advice on Halloween...not the usual list of precautions. Well done!

Nice advice on the "please take one" bowl of candy...something I will be putting out this year. We have video surveillance on our porch so it will be interesting to see if anyone takes advantage.
