This is very sad, and my heart and thoughts go out to the family.  They actually tried a drunk driver here on murder charges when he hit a limosine returning home from a wedding, killing the flower girl and the driver.  Maybe more states should look into bringing murder charges.

Will keep the families in our prayers. Drunk driving is such an avoidable crime.

Bob.. This is truly devastating.  My heart goes out to Elliott's family.  Please (though they do not know me) give them my sympathies.  Having a son that age too, I can only imagine the pain his parents are going through. 

Bob.. I just had a thought... Maybe sharing some of these replies with them, might help them heal...

My father was killed by a drunk driver. You learn to hate alcohol because of it. I hope this lady learned a lesson. The man that killed my father and another man did not learn his lesson and went on to commit more DWI offenses. My heart goes out to this family. I will pray that God brings healing for their pain.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!  How messed up do you have to be to go through two rooms of a house?  Let's hope the authorities keep this person off the roads for a very long time.  My condolences to the family.

This is horrible, I wish that they could change the intent clause on DWI to show that if you drink without prior finding an alternate route home, you intended to cause injury or death when you got into an accident.  Short of that, there isn't much to keep this driver off the road for any great length of time.  This is a horrible waste and a tragedy, my thoughs and prayers go out to this young man's family!

This is heartbreaking. A child is not even safe from a drunk driver in their own bed. The driver should get life.

What a horrible crime...with her previous DUI convictions, she needs to be imprisoned for a very long time.  She is clearly a menace to society.
