Thanks for sharing a bit more of your careers with us! I knew some of this (the restaurant era) but not prior to that. You've had an intriguing career path that no doubt contributes to your success in your consulting business along with the skills you acquired!

I think that the only TGIFriday's near me is at the baseball park and we always enjoy dining there during Dbacks games, rather than having the ballpark fare.

Hi Grant Schneider what an interesting history!  I remember working at Sears in HS and we had a great leader in the mgmt program.  I didn't realize how comprehensive a training program it was.  What a great way for you to learn and grow right out of college.  I bet you love having your own company now!

I was at grand opening of TGI Friday. It was an out door meeting chicks eatery. 63rd street and some east side street stood with cute chicks.....  I just looked up they were many flight attendents live there.  Airlines did not hire grandmas then.

Sam Shueh - that is exactly where it all began.  Yes the bar for the airline stewardesses.  The concept that he founded was sold to Carlson Restaurants Worldwide and it has always been know as the fun bar!

Hi Grant - my "adult" career started in high school in a drug store and transitioned to department store retailing in and after college.  In those days, training led to many career paths and it seems that is true for you as well as those building blocks proved successful as skills were learned and mastered.

Hi Grant! Your consulting career has blossomed and I'm certain that every single experience you had in the past contributed to your success.

I am a firm believer that we learn so much from those experiences - even the ones in which our 'bosses' left much to be desired. Those guys taught us how NOT to be in our businesses!!

Hope you and Phylis are enjoying the wedding festivities and the cool fall weather here in Charlotte. It was such a treat seeing you both again yesterday!

Hi Grant! I always tell my daughters that I expect them to make mistakes, and that I want them to make mistake. It's not easy to watch them do so at times, but I wholeheartedly believe that it will prepare them for an amazing life ahead. Where would we be had it not been for some (or many) of the mistakes we made in the past?

It certainly sounds like that your mistakes propelled you forward and helped shape the life you get to enjoy today.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 - the time at Sears in The Big H shoping center was from late 71 to early 74.  Great memories including The Harbor Inn if it is still there.

Will - yes we share some of the same background.

Michael - those jobs are wonderful building blocks.

Joan - thanks I enjoyed the journey.

Rebeccca - it is all about learning assignments.

Debb - thanks.  Glad to fill in the blanks.

Debe - I was great seeing you and yes bad bosses are teaching experiences.

Dorie - life is a learning experience.

Wayne and Jean - I went in there recently.  What a difference.  Of course, that applied to Sears in general.

Joan - yes the lunch was great.  I know you were just there.

Raymond - it was a motitivater.  Fortunately, I was in a good condition.

Andrea - yes, tell them don't be afraid to make mistakes.

Andrew - thanks, it's been a great run.
