Yesterday I took a ride out to Lake Whitney and stopped by Uncle Gus' Marina and Resort. Having lived in the area most of my life,I knew the location but had not realized how much they have improved!!!! Wow! Looks Great and has so much to offer. 
Often referred to as "The Place to Be on Lake Whitney". Built on over 52 acres overlooking beautiful Lake Whitney, the marina and resort have been in business and serving guests since 1952. Lake Whitney is often referred to as the "Getaway Capitol of Texas", you will definately want to add this to your list of things to do in Texas.
Offering cabin rentals, boat rentals, boat storage options, bait, crappie house,two swimming pools, a restaurant called the Galley Grill, rv parking, ship store with full service boat repair shop and three public boat launch ramps and much more.
I stopped in the office and was met by the sweetest lady named Barbie. She told me all about the amenities offered and I took a tour of one of the cabins. Next stop is to drive around and take pictures of the awesome views, swimming pool areas (2), bait house and crappie house. 
While doing the pictures I found the Galley Grill and decided it was Lunch time. Great little hidden gem with great food, great service and I loved the decor and atmosphere. 
Uncle Gus' Marina and Resort - Lake Whitney Texas will host a 1st Annual Halloween Trick or Treat off the Streets and I am sponsoring one of the cabins. They are blocking off roads and inviting all children to a safe Halloween event sponsored by local businesses. I will post more on this after the Halloween Fun!
