Champage is a white or rosé sparkling wine. The word Champagne can only be used to describe a sparkling wine grown exclusively in the Champagne region of France. Champagne is a protected brand name.
Pictured above is our first glass of a rosé champagne we loved in Paris. Note, that flutes are no longer in vogue, and special bubble glasses are now "the right way to drink Champagne". The logic behind that is that it allows the bubbles to have just the right amount of freedom to navigate. You don't have to run out and buy new glasses, a Chardonnay glass will serve you well also.
