Hi Everyone! Hey, I still cannot believe today is Friday - I remember
Monday and not sure what happened to Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
I know that I had a somewhat challenging week ~ Yes, and one of my favorite
quotes, credited to Joseph Campbell, came to mind:
"The Cave you fear to enter holds the Treasure you seek."
I always will remember one of my first lectures in Astrology, in the paranormal:
"SLAY THE DRAGON"
which was all about our challenging fight with our subconscious and living a
meaningful life. To do so, we had to fight our fears...To transform to a higher,
evolved life, I would have to win the battle with my fiery-tongued, scary
dragon. And in doing, I would meet my fears and be challenged. With that
in mind, I chose the quotes for today to bring to the Sandbox and share with
my friends...Challenges and Fears we face in Life -- here on Planet Earth. I
chose quotes today by Richelle E. Goodrich, American author, Slaying Dragons.
Wishing you a wonderful Friday, Jane
"You can do things.
Do you know this? Do you believe it?
It's true. You can do great things.
"To believe in yourself is to light a spark with the potential to start a fire."
"A smile is a light that sets your inner self aglow, letting others know
When your latest efforts fail, don't quit.
When your performance is scoffed and ridiculed, don't quit.
When you're told you have no talent, don't quit.
When you come in dead last, don't quit.
When it seems an uphill fight to keep going, don't quit.
When you can't see any possible way to achieve your goals, don't quit.
When your last supporter is you alone, don't quit.
When discouragement and depression seem your constant companion,
When you feel like quitting, don't quit."
"Time and time again you will crave relief from the harsh fight of trying to
succeed. You will falsely think that quitting will bring peace and reprieve,
but alas, only regret and disappointment await the quitter. Victory means
never ever quitting. So don't quit. Do not quit."
"It's not a dream, it's my destiny."
"Habits grow like dragons if you feed them."
"There are trials in life that feel as tremendous as a quest to slay Dragons.
These trials are daunting. They require hard work, determination, and
courage. But when the dragon is finally slain, the relief is immense."
"A dragon grows in leaps and bounds, like troubles mounting by the pound.
Its stature heightens day to day, imposing dread and deep dismay.
A paralyzing roar it gains while from its snout hot fire rains.
It sees you shrink. Your fear it knows. And by the hour the nightmare grows.
Unless you slay the dragon soon, your troubles may become your doom."
"Dragons are a manifestation of things we fear. More often than not, those
fears prove to be just as daunting and just as imaginary."
"Everything in the world that happens to you may be someone else's doing;
I'll grant you that. But what you do with it, how you react to it, what you
make of yourself in the midst of it all -- that's totally you."
"No one is without troubles, without personal hardships and genuine
challenges. That fact may not be obvious because most people don't advertise
their woes and heartaches. But nobody, not even the purest heart escapes
life without suffering battle scars."
"Nothing in this world compares to the comfort and security of having
someone just hold your hand."
