I love to work out, a lot, and pretty much daily. My earliest memories of myself exercising are the jogs my dad took me on as a wee one. And I am still running...
Besides running I also have a few strength classes firmly (well, as firmly as is possible for a busy REALTOR® and soccer mom) scheduled into my weekly agenda. I wholeheartedly believe that regular me-time, pursuing my passions and doing my body and soul good, help me become the best version of myself. It helps me be a better mom, daughter, friend, and REALTOR®. I get the best ideas when I'm out on a trail. I can let go of stress and frustration vs. directing it towards others. I find my balance, my focus, and my heart through exercising.
I would be remiss if I didn't include a shout-out to the extremely awesome instructors at LifeTime Fitness in Columbia, especially Keisha & JR! These two are the best! They kick my bootie just right (not literally, but you know what I mean). They propel me forward on my health and strength journey. They challenge me in new ways, and I'm always up for a good challenge. They inspire me. And although they make me cuss a little on occasion, too, I do so with love, respect, and heartfelt gratitude.
Balance. Strength. Passion. Focus. Motivation. These are all attributes of a good work-out, and a good instructor.
Back in the day, when SPINNING® (or indoor cycling) was the new kid on the fitness block, I became an instructor. One of my very favorite aspects of teaching fitness classes was the opportunity & responsibility of guiding my team on their journey to a better and healthier version of themselves.
I was their biggest fan, and their (loudest) cheerleader. When you stand in front of a room full of people who look at you with anticipation, joy, and sometimes dread, all you want to do is to make them proud. You want to see them elated, and happy, and sweaty at the end of the class. You want them to challenge themselves, to pull a little harder, climb a little higher, and sprint a little faster. So you motivate, you support, and you cheer - a lot, because you want to see every single person succeed and reach their goal.
Many years later, I still find myself motivating, supporting, and cheering. I still am my clients' biggest fan. As a REALTOR® I still get to guide every single one on their very own journey - albeit a different one. I still assist, instruct, lead, and cheer.
It's what I have always done. The sport has changed. The goals are different. But the need for expert guidance, support, and motivation is very much the same.
When you are house-hunting and just can't find the one, or get outbid time and time again, you need me, your REALTOR®, to also be your cheerleader. No, you won't have to keep renting. No, you won't have to settle (I won't let you!) for a house you don't really want. When it doesn't work out, it's not the right house. We will find the one. We will do our due diligence. We will be the first in line. We will look at all possibilities. We will make it happen! Promise.
When you are selling your home, have prepared it as best as possible, and are not seeing immediate success, you need me, your REALTOR® to not only be your voice of reason, but also your cheerleader. No, you can't control the market, nor your neighbors. No, you can't change your view/location on a busy street/the fact that a storm forced you to clear your previously wooded lot. But you can follow my lead, implement my suggestions, help me spread the word socially. We will make sure your listing is well presented. We will market it to the nth degree. We will get creative, think outside the box, and always find the positive. Our efforts (selling a home IS very much a team sport) will pay-off. We will find the right buyer - even if we have to sell it twice! Promise.
Once a fitness instructor. Now a REALTOR®. Always your cheerleader.
P.S. If you see me at LifeTime Fitness, or out running, don't be shy - please say Hi! If you would like to join me for a run, or at one of Keisha's or JR's classes, please get in touch. And if you'd like for your REALTOR to also be your personal cheerleader, you can reach me on my cell 240.593.2860, or at andreabedard.re@gmail.com.
