It's Time to Start

Hard as it is to believe, the Holiday Season is fast approaching. Don't wait until it's too late to write a meaningful, evergreen post. One of my favorite things to do in ActiveRain is to make lists of blogging ideas. Here are some to get you started for the upcoming Holidays before they sneak up on us.

  1. Local parades 
  2. Pumpkin patches to take the kids
  3. Seasonal zoo activities (Boo at the Zoo, etc.)
  4. Annual celebrations
  5. Seasonal events (Coffin races, etc.)
  6. Fall activities
  7. Octoberfest celebrations
  8. Tell about closing Farmers' markets
  9. How to prepare your lawn/house for winter
  10. Free events for October, November, and December
  11. Favorite Thanksgiving recipe
  12. Favorite Christmas recipe
  13. Favorite family holiday traditions
  14. Where is Santa going to be for children?
  15. Where is the best area in your town to view Christmas lights?
  16. Easy DIY Halloween costumes for adults and kids
  17. Stocking stuffers for men
  18. Stocking stuffers for women
  19. A romantic restaurant to escape the bustle of the season
  20. Thanksgiving/Christmas religious services around town
  21. Theater events (A Christmas Carol, Nutcracker, etc.)
  22. Favorite holiday memory
  23. Loal Christmas teas
  24. Ornament making - DIY or neighborhood offerings
  25. Donation opportunities/events (toys, food, money, clothes)
  26. Take photos of local seasonal decorations
  27. Helicopter rides to see Christmas lights
  28. Concerts, symphonies, philharmonic events
  29. Local races
  30. Bake sales
  31. Community dinners
  32. Hay rides
  33. Sleigh rides

I usually have plenty of ideas/topics but every now and then the brain cells are in a stalemate. Good things is that there are many holidays events around to write about (and attend, when I can).
