Last month – Sept 2019 in the Mount Airy, Md. detached home market.

 

A quick look at what has been happening last month in the Mount Air, Md. zip code existing detached homes market and a look at some history. This report show statistics for three monts starting with September 2018, then August 2019, and finally September 2019.

 

September 2018

During the month of September 2018, 23 existing detached homes in Mount Airy, Md. successfully completed the sales process.  These homes sold for between $245,000 and $730,000 with the median being $405,000.  The days on market ranged from new to the market (1 days) to 7 months (218 days) with the median approaching 1 month (22 days).  The median close price these homes was 98.2% of the last known list price.

Fifteen of the sellers granted the buyers closing cost assistance.  This assistance ranged from $1,500 to $17,097 with the median being $9,717.

There were no REO sales in Mount Airy during the month and one short sales.

 

August 2019

During the month of August 2019, 34 existing detached homes in Mount Airy, Md. successfully completed the sales process.  These homes sold for between $225,000 and $870,000 with the median being $446,000.  The days on market ranged from new to the market (1 day) to 15 months (456 days) with the median approaching 1 month (25 days).  The median close price these homes was 100% of the last known list price.

Twenty of the sellers granted the buyers some closing cost assistance.  This assistance ranged from $91 to $21,450 with the median being $9,900.

There were no REO sales in Mount Airy during the month and no short sales.

 

September 2019

During the month of September 2019, 23 existing detached homes in Mount Airy, Md. successfully completed the sales process.  These homes sold for between $175,800 and $605,000 with the median being $453,000.  The days on market ranged from new to the market (1 day) to 4 months (122 days) with the median being 1 month (36 days).  The median close price these homes was 100% of the last known list price.

Seventeen of the sellers granted the buyers closing cost assistance.  This assistance ranged from $500 to $20,000 with the median being $9,000.

There was 1 REO sales in Mount Airy during the month and no short sales
