Sometimes you need to just seriously take a break, even if for a solid hour or two, to allow alone time and gathering of thoughts and rejuvenation of personal energy. One of my favorite places to do this when on Long Island is along the Fire Island Cost line. I absolutely LOVE it here, especially during Fall and Winter, when the touristy crowds have dissipated.
