My wife invited me out on a date night last evening to see Mandisa. Now, I am more of a Metallica, Guns and Roses or even Santana kind of a guy, but I feel like I am well rounded and enthusiastically answered yes to the date night! So...I first noticed something could be amiss as we drove into the parking lot. There was a huge line of people wrapping around the building waiting to get in and not one single guy. I dutifully joined the line with my lovely wife. Moments later we walked into the auditorium and encountered this huge sign.

I love the big smile, but it ended up that there were more men on the stage than in the whole audience. Don't get me wrong. If Mandisa was to sing the names out of a phone book, it would sound great. She is also inspirational as well with songs like Overcomer. I would even see her again, just not at Girls Night Live. Here is the irony. When my wife first asked me to go with her, I did say, it sounds like your should invite some girlfriends. HA! It is like I knew! Oh, and by the way, don't tell my Metalhead friends.
