I Met Arizona!!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Real Estate Shows

Well, I met some parts of Arizona, and some of those fabulous people who live in my computer!

This trip was for training and meetings, and I think part of my job is getting to socialize and play with these online people. Well, I don't have a written job description that says that, so maybe I slipped that in there on my own. Hey, when your boss is Jeff Turner, maybe socializing just seems natural -- that man knows EVERYONE. (Or will -- if you haven't met him, just wait. It will come.)

I LOVED Arizona. It is a beautiful place and I finally got to figure out what "dry heat" is. In case you're like me, stuck in humidity all the time, it's like when you first walk out of the house and realize "it's hot out here", but before you want to race back into the air conditioning. It's almost like a reduced calorie heat, if you can imagine. Random tip: do not wear open sandals for a desert walk amongst the cacti. Lesson learned.

We RES employees got to learn a lot more about the company, it's direction and our place in it. As if I didn't already love Real Estate Shows enough, I love it even more now! There is a heart and soul to this company and I am so proud to be a part of it. I can't wait for the new stuff that's coming up! (You're going to love it!!)

But the best part of all was meeting the people! For the first time I met Juli Salvante (Jeff's sister and my boss), Bill Leider, Joyce and Jenna Harvey. I got to meet a whole crowd of RE.net people who live in and around Phoenix – Debbie Lieberman, Candace Jay Thompson, Steve Belt, Jonathan Dalton, Dru Bloomfield, Phil Sexton, Nick Bastian, Heather Barr, Max Chircov, Christoph Schweiger, Mark Eckenrode, Jon Griffith, Irene Hammond … and this is the danger with listing people – I know I missed some! If I missed you, please slap me upside the head and tell me to edit this, OK? Thanks.

You can see a little of our get together in my (what else?) Real Estate Show below. Nick, if only you’d gotten to me sooner, I might have worn that sparkly dress. ;)

Very cool Sarah. I hear that Bill Leider guy is trouble!!! Ok just kidding. I've spoken to Bill on occassion and he is actually very nice. Not sure how he got hooked up with toolman. Anyway......looks like everyone had a really good time. I'm sure it was great actually meeting all these computer friends face to face. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sarah! I absolutely LOVE Arizona. I did get to live there for over a year and if I could move anywhere it would be to go back there. My big plan now is to go back every winter for a month to vacation and explore. Looks like you had a lot of fun!

Morning Sarah,

Are you actually considering using that trip expense as a tax write off?    How could you! Looks like you all had way too much fun there. Good luck in your new venture, you will do well, you always have!!

Nick - It is the most amazing company -- I really need to write a blog about some of the stuff we talked about.  This company really DOES have heart, doesn't just say the words.  And I really wish I'd brought that dress now!!  ;)

Steve - You should have come!!  Well, I guess that would be kind of ordinary for you (aside from the time) but I thought it was just beautiful, and now I have lots of beautiful pictures I wouldn't have had.  Next time!!  :)  (And tell me not to wear open sandals!)

Hal - No write off for me, they wouldn't let me pay for a thing.  We did have a great time and I'm loving my new job!  Today has been especially good, we have wonderful clients, too!

Jeff - Thank you so much for the trip!  Really, you want to send me anywhere, you just go right ahead, OK?  :)  I am even more proud to be with Real Estate Shows and I love my coworkers!  Thanks for letting me be a part of this and I'll see you soon!

Lizette - It was so beautiful, I really had no idea!  I'm glad I had the experience, and I stayed with a coworker who has invited me back -- I'd love to take her up on it!  I can see why you want to go back yourself!

Carol - Aww, thank you!  I feel right for the job, I hope I can meet the company's standards.  And it was a GREAT time, I'm glad I got to be there!

Candace - Surprise me, Girl -- show up in NC!!!  I'd love to see you again, you were so much fun!  I'll have to get my craft stuff out and whip up a Candace puppet to take along with us .... OH, could I have fun with THAT!!!

Bryant - Bill Leider cracked me up so bad and dinner that I CRIED at the table -- UGLY crying where you just laugh so freaking hard!!  He is so smart and just wickedly funny!  He and Jeff make quite the team, they really do!

Missy - Oh, I'd say a kiss on the cheek would not be hard to get from Jeff!  LOL!  And I'll see YOU very, very soon!!  Yay!!

Rochell - Thank you so much!  And thank you for your help and patience while I'm learning, it really helps.

Kimberly - Thanks!  I'm loving the new job, my coworkers, clients, the product itself ... fabulous to have a job like that!  I am a lucky girl!

Ron - Yes, I met Jay Thompson!  Aren't I a lucky girl??  That was worth the trip right there!  :)

Michael - LOL!! I have no idea how much wine we went through, but my glass was always topped off!  Great company, food, wine, weather and locale -- what a wonderful night!

Went there last June...we flew a private plane to and into the canyon...we stayed at the stone mountain resort in Phoenix. It was a giant water park souronding the hotel grounds. I did learn about the black burn marks on my feet as my feet are pretty used to walking without shoes and I have virtually leather feet on my bottoms...but I had to buy water shoes which helped but they were burt at the end of the trip.
