Wordless Wednesday...River of Fog
When people think of Houston there are two things that people complain about...the terrible traffic and the ever-present humidity. And they would be right.
But we can also have a lot of fog. I love it! It’s like a soft blanket that hides you from the rest of the world.
If you’re out on a boat, a foggy morning can be interesting and a bit scary. There’s the peaceful quiet that comes after it snows. It’s not like you can’t hear a sound, but that there are no sounds to hear.
And then there’s that rogue wave that slaps at the hull of the boat. Something’s out there but it’s hidden in the fog. You check your radar but there’s no blip on the screen. Fingers crossed that the fog will lift and you’re not staring at a large ship!
It is not the clear-sighted who rule the world. Great achievements are accomplished in a blessed, warm fog. Joseph Conrad
