Growing up, we’ve all dreamt of becoming a superhero at some point! You may have dreamed of getting bitten by a radioactive spider, wielding the Mjolnir or wearing at least one of the nickel-titanium alloy suits. Whether we admit it or not, none of us have escaped the incredible world of Stan Lee.
Unfortunately, none of us could actually ever live in that world either. But now, for a cool $1.35 million USD, you can at least own the house of the late comic book legend himself.
A Cherished Property
The co-creator of beloved superheroes like Ironman, Thor, Spiderman, and X-men, passed away in 2018. He left plenty of properties and one of them can be found in the Four Seasons private residences located in Soma. Stan Lee’s pied-à-terre is located in one of the most stellar buildings in San Francisco, California.
The condo of the legend went on the real estate market on Friday, October 4, 2019. It’s located on floor 22, which shouldn’t be a challenge for any superhero to climb up to.
Sean Mamola, an associate of Climb Real Estate, said, “Stan Lee purchased it and stayed here when he threw out the first pitch at the Giants game and attended the first Comic-Con...Mr. and Mrs. Lee loved San Francisco and the creativity they found here.”
The 795 square feet property boasts one bedroom and one bathroom. It’s one of the smaller units that can be found in the circa-2001 structure. The east-facing #22C condo has hardwood flooring are Brazilian cherry floors, while the bathroom is furnished with marble. Its kitchen’s countertops are made of granite, and comes with a washer and a dryer. Plus, the unit has been furnished with stainless-steel kitchen appliances. Lastly, there’s plenty of space in the closet, which allows you to hide your superhero costume from nosy guests and/or villains.
If you’re a homeowner, you have access to a doorman service that’s available 24/7. You can also enjoy the Equinox Sports Club on the building’s bottom level. Plus, if you want a bite or two, you can order food directly to the Unit from the hotel’s in-house kitchen.
Being in the Four Seasons, a hotel and condo building built in 2001, has other perks that you’ll love. You can also enjoy housekeeping services and the around-the-clock room service. And if you want to leave for a drink, you can simply go down to the bar and restaurant. Lastly, if you want privacy, the 142 residential units are completely separated on the top floors.
A Collector’s Dream
The Lee Family 1985 Trust is the one selling the unit. Lee and his daughter often stayed in the unit when they visit San Francisco. The perfect, even though petite, condo is great for someone who wants to own a piece of history, has money to burn and loves the comic book legend.
Sean Mamola, the listing agent from Climb Real Estate, said, “There are huge collectors out there of Stan Lee paraphernalia/swag...Whoever purchases this will have an amazing living experience. … [And they’ll] have an amazing connection to the Stan Lee legacy.”
Always A Legend
Stan Lee is best known as the writer, editor, producer, and publisher of the legendary superheroes from the Marvel Universe. We all know that even though he left us last 2018 at the age of 95, Stan Lee will always be a legend. And being in a place where he once stood is a marvel in itself.
According to Mamola, “(Stan Lee) loved San Francisco...This is where he would stay.” This is why anyone who purchases the unit will have the most connection with the legend.
